“ORF like defunct GDR television”
The current "TV duel" between Andreas Mölzer and Eva Glawischnig on krone.tv was also about ORF. Specifically about ZiB1 domestic policy commentator Hans Bürger. For some months now, he has apparently no longer been allowed to appear in the high-reach time slot in the picture, but has been moved to breakfast television and the afternoon program.
Mölzer: "He is definitely someone who was not always as politically correct as usual. But all in all, ORF somehow reminds me of the defunct GDR television. There is obviously still a climate of intolerance on ORF. Good Hans Bürger must have had a falling out with someone. It's not just a position he can no longer hold, it's also a humiliation."
One wonders what happened
Glawischnig with a positive outlook: "But you also have to say that the successor is a deserving journalist who has really done top reporting on the radio. So the citizens' eviction should not fall on this person, because that is a failure of leadership. Of course, I think every office has its time. But a good journalist always has his time. Especially if he is a public favorite in that sense. So you do ask yourself what happened." Mölzer, sober: "So it's not entirely kosher."
