Tragic collision on the piste in Nassfeld: a 16-year-old skier from Hermagor was transported away by rescue helicopter.

It is still unclear what caused the collision this morning on the Garnitzen-Alm run in the Nassfeld ski area. One thing is certain: the 16-year-old from the district of Hermagor and a 40-year-old female skier from Germany collided with full force on the descent.

While the Carinthia holidaymaker escaped with bruises, the teenager suffered serious injuries and had to be flown to hospital in Villach by the ARA 3 rescue helicopter.
