Slow healing: King Charles is frustrated
According to his nephew Peter Phillips, the British King Charles III (75) is frustrated by the slow progress of his cancer treatment. The son of Princess Anne (73) told the Australian TV station "Sky News Australia".
Charles is "in good spirits", Phillips assured, but added: "I think he is ultimately very frustrated. He's frustrated that he can't progress and do everything he'd like to do."
Charles frustrated by slow healing process
But Charles is also very pragmatic and understands that there is a time when he needs to focus on himself, the 18th in line to the British throne said in the interview broadcast at the weekend.
At the beginning of February, the palace announced that King Charles had been diagnosed with cancer. It is not known what form of the disease it is - except that it is not thought to be prostate cancer. The King has since undergone treatment and has canceled all public appearances until further notice. Behind the scenes, however, he is fulfilling his duties and is also holding audiences from time to time.
Charles wants to be present at the Easter service
According to the British news agency "PA", Charles hopes to be able to attend a scaled-down version of the traditional Easter service in Windsor.
His son and heir to the throne Prince William (41) and his wife Princess Kate (42) and their children are not expected to attend. Kate also made her cancer public last week and is now receiving preventative chemotherapy.
