Serious traffic accident on Sunday afternoon in the Tyrolean Zillertal! A local man (35) was hit by a German car while crossing the B169. The man had to be taken to hospital with injuries.

At around 4.15 pm, a 58-year-old German was driving his car into the valley on the Zillertal Straße in Ramsau im Zillertal. At the same time, a 35-year-old Austrian wanted to cross the road.

"For reasons as yet unknown, he was hit head-on by the 58-year-old's car and thrown to the ground," said the police. The 35-year-old suffered serious injuries to his entire body and was taken to the district hospital in Schwaz by the ambulance service. The car was damaged in the area of the windshield and the hood.
