Waste paper container set on fire in Innsbruck

Fire alarm on Saturday afternoon in Innsbruck! A waste paper container had caught fire. The fire department was able to quickly bring the flames under control. The police suspect arson.

Shortly after 2.30 pm on Saturday, six firefighters from the professional fire department in Innsbruck were called out after a waste paper container was set on fire in Unterbergerstraße. "Obviously a fire had broken out there due to external influences", according to the police.

Police are looking for witnesses
The emergency services were able to bring the fire under control quickly and fortunately no one was injured. "The amount of damage has not yet been determined", said the police. Investigations are underway to identify the person(s) responsible for the fire.
