Madness! Baumgartner scores after seven seconds
Austria's national soccer team got off to a furious start in the test match against Slovakia. After the kick-off, coach Ralf Rangnick's team stormed into the opponent's half and shocked the hosts. Christoph Baumgartner scored after seven seconds to make it 1:0, with the pass coming from Michael Gregoritsch.
The fans in Bratislava had not even taken their seats when the ball was already in the net! The ÖFB team scored a record-breaking goal. Immediately after the kick-off, the Austrians played the ball aggressively towards Martin Dubravka's goal.
Through the middle
After a lightning-fast combination, Gregoritsch played the ball to Baumgartner, who went through the middle and outpaced Stanislav Lobotka. Before the Slovakian defense can take action, the Leipzig international finishes.
After seven seconds, the ball hit the far corner and Dubravka had no chance. Rangnick's team were rewarded for their bold start and were celebrating early on.
