Argentina show no weakness even without Messi

World champions Argentina have clearly beaten El Salvador in a friendly match in the USA. Coach Lionel Scaloni's team beat the Central Americans 3:0 in Philadelphia on Friday (local time).

However, Argentina's superstar Lionel Messi did not play in the game. He recently suffered a minor injury to his right leg in his club Inter Miami's game against Nashville SC.

Cristian Romero of Tottenham Hotspur scored the opening goal for the "Albiceleste" in the 16th minute from a corner kick by Angel Di Maria. Chelsea's Enzo Fernandez scored from close range in the 42nd minute to make it 2:0, and Giovani Lo Celso scored in the 52nd minute after a fine combination to make it 3:0.
