Franco Foda wins on debut as Kosovo team manager
Turkey, the Austrian national team's test match opponents in Vienna on Tuesday, suffered a defeat on Friday. The European Championship starter lost the trial gallop in Budapest against Hungary 0:1 through a penalty goal by ex-Salzburg player Dominik Szoboszlai (48.).
Austria's EURO opponents, the Netherlands, recorded a commanding 4-0 home win against Scotland, with goals from Tijani Reijnders (40), Georginio Wijnaldum (72), Wout Weghorst (84) and Donyell Malen (86).
Meanwhile, Franco Foda started his tenure as Kosovo's soccer team manager with a win. With the former Austrian national team coach on the bench, the Kosovars won the test match against Armenia 1:0 in Yerevan on Friday, with Milot Rashica scoring the golden goal in the 25th minute. LASK professional Valon Berisha was substituted for the visitors in the 68th minute.
