Passers-by lifted the car and freed the woman

Passers-by in Munich have freed a woman from under a car after an accident. She had been walking on a sidewalk on Thursday when a car driver (82) mixed up the gas pedal and brake pedals when turning.

The senior citizen drove straight onto the sidewalk and hit the woman. The 31-year-old was seriously injured, as the police reported on Friday. Passers-by saw the accident victim, lifted the car and freed the woman. She was taken to hospital.

The 82-year-old driver is being investigated for negligent bodily harm. According to the police, property damage amounted to around 8,000 euros.
