Slump in sales
Innviertel sausage producer Kletzl is insolvent
Many fans of the crispy delicacies will cringe: The Innviertel "Kletzerl" sausage producer Kletzl, based in Wildenau, is insolvent, with liabilities amounting to 5.6 million euros. The company is to be continued. According to KSV1870, 36 employees and 118 creditors are affected.
In addition to the loss of a major German customer, the insolvency application cites the coronavirus pandemic, which led to a slump in sales in the catering sector, as the cause of the company's inability to pay. Production capacities and personnel were adjusted, but the increased costs for energy and raw materials could not be passed on to end consumers.
Insolvency administrator's turn
"The insolvency administrator appointed by the insolvency court will examine whether the debtor's intended restructuring and continuation of the company is possible without further losses for the creditors," says Petra Wögerbauer from KSV1870.
