Drug dealer faces ten years in prison

Since July 2019, a 35-year-old Bosnian is alleged to have brought cannabis and cocaine to Austria on a large scale as a drug dealer. On Wednesday, he had to answer for this at the Linz Regional Court. He will now have plenty of time to think in prison for the next ten years.

The 35-year-old Bosnian is alleged to have ordered herbal cannabis and cocaine from his dealer abroad between July 2019 and spring 2023. The drugs are said to have been brought to Austria by truck from Slovenia. On one occasion, an attempt is said to have been made. The accused is said to have maintained various bunkers for the temporary storage of the narcotics.

Chat messages incriminate the accused
A total of around 328 kilograms of herbal cannabis and more than 25 kilograms of cocaine are said to have been smuggled to Austria in this way. He is said to have obtained a further 15 kilograms in Vienna on February 25, 2021. The 35-year-old is incriminated by the analysis of chat messages and by accomplices who are said to have passed on the narcotics or looked after a drug bunker.

The panel of lay judges passed a swift sentence on Wednesday morning: ten years in prison - already legally binding.
