"Completely exaggerated"

Disrespectful Ried reports Wolfsberg’s AKA boss!

Wolfsberg's academy managing director Walter Kogler drew the attention of the opponents from Ried to a "lack of respect" during an ÖFB Youth League match. This was followed by a battle of words, a shoving match and a complaint. . 

Some people couldn't believe their eyes at the St. Veit Jacques-Lemans-Arena at the weekend. While the AKA WAC U16s were playing against their Rieder contemporaries (and beating them 1-0), the visitors' goalkeeping coach Wolfgang Wimmer - when the teams were in the other half of the pitch - suddenly started hitting a few crosses with his U18 goalie!

Of course, the fans as well as the Wolfsberg coaches and officials didn't like it. Academy managing director Walter Kogler intervened and stormed down from the stands. "I loudly announced that this was disrespectful." It degenerated into a battle of words - in which Kogler is said to have pushed a Rieder. This even prompted the Upper Austrians to report the former team player to the ÖFB.

Ried's managing director Rainer Wöllinger explains: "One of our employees was physically attacked. We reserve the right to take further steps!"

Ried's account is nonsense. I pushed one of the four men who were around me away with two hands because he stormed towards me.
