What an exclamation mark! The Red Jackets sweep Pustertal off the ice at home in the semi-final opener, celebrating a 7:1 triumph. A Haudum brace was the can opener.

What a great start to the semi-final series! And a KAC duo set the red ship on course early on: Herburger set up Haudum twice - and the striker scored with a sharp shot to make it 1:0 (5th) and 2:0 (12th). There were many chances on both sides, but the Klagenfurt defense held firm.

KAC superior in terms of running
Within six minutes, the home side sealed the deal very early in the second period! First Kraus scored after a Ganahl cross (28'), then Bischofberger from close range and Strong with a shot into the corner of the net - and it was 5:0 in minute 34! The KAC kept running at the South Tyroleans, who were unusually open defensively.

The Klagenfurt team also coped well with the Pustertal's tough interludes, didn't let up for a second - and celebrated a resounding 7:1 victory in the end. This leaves the KAC 1:0 up in the semi-final series.
