Porn videos with Meloni’s face faked

A father (73) and a son (40) have been charged for publishing porn videos with the face of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. Meloni's lawyer is demanding compensation of 100,000 euros, which is to be donated to victims of violence.

The incident took place in 2020, when the defendants published manipulated porn videos on a US website with Meloni's face in place of the actresses. The two men were identified by the user name they used and the telephone number from which the fake videos were distributed. According to the public prosecutor's office, the sex videos were edited using graphics software.

Action for defamation
The 73-year-old and the 40-year-old now have to answer for defaming the Italian head of government. After some of her employees became aware of the videos, Meloni filed a complaint. Her lawyer Maria Giulia Marongiu is demanding compensation of 100,000 euros; the money is to go to a fund of the Ministry of the Interior for victims of violence.

The hearing before Judge Monia Adami is scheduled for July 2. Meloni has been summoned as a witness. The trial will be held in the city of Sassari in Sardinia.
