Truck runs over people during traffic control

A truck has run over and killed six people near Seville in southern Spain. Three other people were seriously injured in the accident. The driver was traveling at high speed, according to the Spanish police.

The fatalities include four civilians and two police officers. The driver of the truck himself was uninjured and has been arrested. The authorities are currently assuming that the accident may have been caused by fatigue. The man has already tested negative for alcohol and drugs, they said.

The accident occurred early on Tuesday morning on the AP-4 highway not far from Seville in the south of Spain during a traffic check. Six people were killed and three others were seriously injured. Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez expressed his solidarity with the families of the victims on Platform X.
