Mattersburg: Two bodies found in a house

After two bodies were found in a house in Mattersburg on Monday, more has now been revealed about the identities of the two deceased.

Investigations are continuing in Burgenland following the discovery of two bodies in a house in Stöttera (Mattersburg district). The bodies discovered last Monday were those of an 83-year-old woman and her 61-year-old son, the police confirmed on Sunday.

Natural death
An autopsy has been ordered and the results are expected next week. As the "Krone" learned, however, it is likely to be a natural cause of death.

However, the exact circumstances remain unclear and are the subject of a police investigation. What is known is that the elderly woman was in need of care.
