Resident suffers smoke inhalation in fire

Fire alarm in Dornbirn (Vorarlberg): Early on Sunday morning, dozens of firefighters responded to an apartment fire - one tenant suffered smoke inhalation. 

At 6.30 in the morning, a fire broke out in an apartment in Dornbirn. For reasons as yet unknown, the fire started in the kitchen. When the emergency services arrived, the tenant and all the other residents were already outside. 

The tenant suffered smoke inhalation and was taken to Dornbirn hospital, the other residents were uninjured. The fire was quickly extinguished by the Dornbirn fire department. Fortunately, it was also possible to prevent the fire from spreading to other apartments. A total of 46 firefighters, rescue workers and federal police were deployed. Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.
