Long on hold – now the coach is fixed!

There have been more than just rumors about his return in Graz - now everything is set! Harry Lange will take over as coach of the ICEHL's bottom team in ice hockey and lead the "99ers 2.0". After 13 years in his second home country of Germany, the former figurehead of Graz is thus celebrating a comeback at home.

There had long been speculation about his signing - now, for many, Harry Lange is back where he belongs! In Graz. "I'll always be from Graz, this will remain the center of my life even after ice hockey," the Klagenfurt native once said in an interview during his time in Germany. During his last stop in Bad Nauheim - where Harry thrilled the fans as a player as well as a sports director and coach - the 99ers got a clear picture of his work.

The decision in favor of Lange - who sensationally led the Hessians to the final of the second German league and made the leap to the coaching staff of the Austrian A team - was made quickly. "Harry plays exactly the kind of field hockey we want to see in Graz. He also fits the club perfectly in terms of character - especially with his past!" says neo-sports director Philipp Pinter. During his active time from 2004 to 2012, Lange, who also wore the "C" of captain of the 99ers, won the hearts of the fans and remained loyal to the club even in tough times.
