Cabaret artist, painter and singer Alf Poier has been in the Far East for some time now. In Thailand, the Styrian universal artist is recharging his batteries for new exploits. One of these will be his performance on April 18 at the smago! Award at the Hohenhaus Tenne in Schladming. Here he will join a line-up of artists such as Hansi Hinterseer, the Seern, Heino, the Nockis and Marco Ventre to further his career as a pop singer.

... whether it has as many as Thai cuisine has to offer remains to be seen at this point. It is almost certainly more unusual for us Europeans. But even here he knows no mercy - with himself. He is currently tasting his way through the local cuisine in a kind of self-experiment. And if the scorpion doesn't taste good, he simply compensates with deep-fried frog and other "delicacies".
Incidentally, even a motorcycle accident in faraway Asia can't stop Poier. In other words, he stays on course for Schladming and the new career as a pop star that goes with it.
