Series of robberies in Madrid ended – perpetrators caught!
The Spanish police have arrested six suspects who are said to have been involved in several robberies at the homes of wealthy people in Madrid. Among the victims were soccer stars Rodrygo from Real Madrid and Radamel Falcao, who plays for Rayo Vallecano.
The police confiscated watches, jewelry, cash and two air pistols, according to the police.
"High degree of professionalism"
The arrests were made a month ago, but were only announced this week. The series of burglaries began in July 2022 in affluent neighborhoods in and around Madrid. According to the police, the suspects displayed a "high degree of professionalism" by studying videos and photos shared by the players and their entourage on social media. This gave them information about the layout of the houses and the absence of the residents. The suspects also scouted out the security systems.
