Love can be so beautiful! For her 29th birthday, Mikaela Shiffrin received a wonderful message from her boyfriend Aleksander Aamodt Kilde. The Norwegian congratulated his sweetheart via Instagram.

The US-American is "one of the best women I know", writes Kilde in his latest Instagram post. "You constantly inspire me - both on the mountain, but even more (and most importantly) off the mountain."

A "better person" thanks to Shiffrin
After his heavy fall in Wengen in January, Kilde is currently on the rocky road back to a "normal life".

He is receiving a lot of support from his "Mika". "Thank you for your help and for making me a better person," says the "speed moose". Postscript: "I love you!"
