Last Generation: Color attack at Innsbruck University
In Innsbruck on Monday, the "Last Generation" once again drew attention to itself with an action. Climate activists targeted the university and, among other things, covered a staircase with orange paint. The criticism is once again directed at politicians in particular.
"The Last Generation has interrupted the daily study routine and covered the stairs of the main building of the University of Innsbruck with orange paint to point out that continuing with fossil fuels as before threatens the survival of us all and that people need to wake up," reads a statement from the Last Generation.

"Science is being ignored"
As part of the "Student Revolution", the activists would campaign for "the knowledge that is taught every day at universities to be taken seriously". Under the motto "Science is being ignored", attention is being drawn to the fact "that the responsibility that comes with knowledge must also be taken on. Both in society, but above all in politics."
This is not the first time that Innsbruck University has been targeted by climate activists. Last fall, the Last Generation claimed responsibility for graffiti in the area of the university library.
