40-year-old breaks into ex-girlfriend’s apartment

On Saturday evening, there was a violent argument between a 40-year-old man and his ex-girlfriend's new partner in an apartment in Vienna-Simmering. The suspect had previously broken into his ex-girlfriend's apartment via the balcony door.

Shortly afterwards, a wild argument broke out between him and his ex-girlfriend's new partner. The ex-couple's children were also present at the time.

Suspect arrested
When the situation escalated completely, the 36-year-old immediately alerted the police. The officers arrested the 40-year-old on suspicion of aggravated trespassing. A restraining order had already been issued against the ex-partner.

The police issued an entry and approach ban as well as a temporary weapons ban. The 40-year-old was also charged with suspected assault.

Woman and children unharmed
Due to the violent kicks against the balcony door, the 40-year-old suffered minor injuries and had to undergo surgery. The 36-year-old woman and the two children were not injured.
