Motorcyclist (56) in intensive care after crash
Serious motorcycle accident on Saturday night in Tyrol! A 56-year-old crashed his bike in Mils near Hall and ended up in a field. A car driver found the local man seriously injured and set the rescue chain in motion. The biker had to be taken to intensive care.
At around 1.45 a.m., the 56-year-old was riding his motorcycle on the Tiroler Straße (B 171) from Mils in the direction of Volders. "For reasons as yet unknown, he crashed before the Volderer bridge and skidded across the left-hand lane into the adjacent field," said the police.
Police ask for information
An oncoming driver noticed a light in the field, whereupon he turned around and found the motorcyclist in the field. "The 56-year-old suffered extremely serious injuries, was taken to Innsbruck Hospital by ambulance and is receiving intensive medical care," explain the investigators. The motorcycle was a total loss. The B171 was only passable on both sides for around an hour. Further investigations into the cause of the accident are underway. The police in Hall are asking for any useful information (telephone number 059133 /7110).
