HLA top duo pulls away from the chasing pack

The top duo in the Austrian Handball League (HLA) pulled further away from the competition in the 19th round. After second-placed Hard won 34:28 at home against Krems on Friday, leaders Schwaz followed suit on Saturday with a 31:25 win against Ferlach.

The third-placed Füchse are now six and three points behind the top two after a 26:33 at HSG Graz. Bregenz closed the gap to the Styrians to one point with a 38:35 win in Linz.

Fivers Margareten secured fifth place behind Krems with a 30:29 win in Hollabrunn. Bärnbach/Köflach suffered a 26:28 home defeat against Bad Vöslau. The next round will not take place until the Easter weekend in three weeks' time after the upcoming Olympic qualifiers.
