Four people were injured in a crash on the S1 near Schwechat (Lower Austria). They were able to free themselves from the wreck and were treated by the emergency services.

A serious accident on the S1 Wiener Außenring expressway near Schwechat in the district of Bruck an der Leitha left four people injured on Friday evening. Shortly after the rest stop, a driver left the road in his vehicle for unknown reasons and subsequently rammed into a traffic sign.

Minor injuries
The occupants were lucky: contrary to initial assumptions that people were trapped in the car during the crash, according to information from the Schwechat fire department, all occupants emerged from the badly damaged wreck with only minor injuries. 

They were treated by the emergency services and the vehicle was recovered by the firefighters. Just a few hours earlier, there had already been a crash in the same section.
