After blood poisoning: Fritz Wepper is in a hospice

After great concern in December 2023 for star actor Fritz Wepper, it has now been revealed that the 82-year-old is being cared for in a hospice in Upper Bavaria. His wife Susanne and daughter Filippa (12) visit him every day. The "Derrick" star is mentally fit, but physically weakened.

According to a report in "Bild", the actor is no longer taking any medication. His wife (49) and the nursing staff at the hospice are trying to make the last stage of his life as dignified as possible.

Wepper is mentally alert, but can no longer stand up.

In October, Wepper had to cope with the death of his beloved brother Elmar (79), who died unexpectedly of heart failure.

Two months later, he was taken to hospital with blood poisoning. At the time, he was confident that he would be able to spend Christmas at home - but that didn't happen ...
