Both OeSV boats in the gold fleet at the 49ers World Championships
For the sailing aces Benjamin Bildstein/David Hussl and Keanu Prettner/Jakob Flachberger, things did not go according to plan on Thursday at the 49ers World Championship off Lanzarote, but both boats made it into the gold fleet!
Bildstein/Hussl, who came third in the European Championships, received an early start penalty in the first race of the day, which meant they lost a top three place. The duo lodged a protest, but slipped to 17th place in the overall standings.
Prettner/Flachberger are 19th and the two teams will now contest seven more races in the group of the best 25 boats until Sunday. The top 10 will then move on to the Medal Race.
