Majority in editorial team
Full women’s power in the “Kärntner Krone”
March 8 is International Women's Day. Once again, a lot is promised and even more is demanded that will be forgotten by March 9. But we at the "Kärntner Krone" can also take stock. And be a little proud. We have full female power all year round!
Women have long been in the majority in our editorial team. The current ratio is 55 to 45 percent. And that applies across all areas, not "just" in the office. A total of 17 female colleagues are employed at the "Kärntner Krone". And nothing works without them!
The day before Women's Day, for example, went like this: Clara Milena Steiner acts as CvD, i.e. "boss on duty", where all the threads of the day come together, whether for the printed edition, our online presence or the social media channels. Elisa Aschbacher has been in charge of current affairs since 6 am. She then hands over to Claudia Fischer, who takes care of all platforms until the editorial deadline.
Culture has been dominated by women in the "Kärntner Krone" for decades, with Irina Lino responsible for this area, while Kerstin Wassermann once again provides content worth reading with exclusive stories from the wide world of jurisdiction. Women's power is also literally present in marketing; Jana Kruse is the head here.
Meanwhile,Gerlinde Schager is on the trail of young musical talent at "prima la musica" this week, Uta Rojsek-Wiedergut has the first photo shoot at 7 a.m. and the last at 7.30 p.m. at the military music concert, where Jennifer Kapellari also takes to the stage to report on her outstanding work as part of our "Krone hilft" aid campaign.
Meanwhile, ManuelaKarner is continuing her education at the Hans-Dichand-Akademie, Katrin Fister is looking after her professional hobbyhorse "Es grünt so grün", Christina Kogler is looking after folk culture, Angelika Joven, Alexandra Freiberger and Pia Karasin are looking after the secretariat today, Katja Bieche and Julia Mößlacher are not on duty today. And because it should be possible to combine work and family: Elisabeth Nachbar is going to be a mom again these days and we are already looking forward to her return to the team.
A big thank you to all our colleagues!
