Schlager in Leoben
“Everyone has to go to their limits!”
The hit of this second league round takes place on Friday (20.30) in Leoben: DSV take on former title contenders Ried! While Poms' side are still unbeaten in the spring, the Innviertel side have made a stuttering start (one win, two defeats). Kevin Friesenbichler is still unable to help the Blast Furnace men, but the goalkeeper's comeback is getting closer and closer.
Blast furnace striker Kevin Friesenbichler has been out of action since mid-November with a torn tendon. "At first I could do little or nothing at all, after that I was only able to cycle for weeks." The striker will also have to sit in the stands on Friday (20:30) - in the second division clash between third-placed DSV Leoben and fourth-placed Ried.
My goal is the Cup clash against Rapid at the beginning of April, but maybe I'll be back sooner."

But there is a light at the end of the tunnel. "I've been able to take part in large parts of team training since this week," says the 29-year-old, who doesn't want to make any predictions regarding his comeback: "It's difficult to predict. My goal is the Cup clash against Rapid at the beginning of April, but maybe I'll be back sooner," says the veteran, "I'm still having a head block with certain things."
Heavyweight on the approach
Rene Poms' team recorded three wins in a row (Horn, Stripfing, Amstetten) in the championship in the spring, but Ried are now a heavyweight among the blast furnaces. "A top match, hopefully many spectators will come to Monte Schlacko. It won't be a walkover. If we want to win, everyone has to push themselves to the limit!"
