Chimney fire in Tyrol

Neighbor discovered fire and immediately raised the alarm

Fire alarm late on Wednesday evening in the Tyrolean lowlands: A chimney fire broke out at a house in Wiesing (Schwaz district). A neighbor discovered the flames and notified the emergency services.

The fire broke out shortly after 10 p.m. at a house in the Erlach district of Wiesing. "The chimney fire was discovered by a neighbor, who then raised the alarm," said the police.

Fire quickly brought under control
The Wiesing volunteer fire department was finally able to quickly bring the chimney fire under control and extinguish the fire. No one was injured. The extent of the damage is not yet known.

The fire department was deployed with three vehicles and 27 members. The emergency services, police and a chimney sweep were also on site.
