4th Paris-Nice stage
Felix Gall finishes sixth in Buitrago triumph
Felix Gall achieved his first top ten finish in the current traditional Paris-Nice cycling race on Wednesday. The Colombian Santiago Buitrago took the day's victory.
The East Tyrolean finished sixth after the 183 km long 4th stage on Mont Brouilly, just two seconds behind the third-placed Dane Mattias Skjelmose (+37 seconds). Colombian Santiago Buitrago took the day's victory ahead of Australian Luke Plapp (+10 seconds), who took the overall lead 13 seconds ahead of Buitrago.
Großschartner back
The previous leader Brandon McNulty from the USA dropped back to third place (+27). Gall, who finished immediately ahead of the Slovenian Primoz Roglic, made up 13 positions in the ranking and jumped to eleventh place. However, the gap grew slightly to 1:02 minutes.
Felix Großschartner, who had won the team time trial with his UAE Team Emirates on Tuesday, was not among the front runners this time on the stage with seven mountain stages, finishing in 61st place just ahead of his compatriot Marco Haller. Both were 16:59 minutes behind the day's fastest rider.
