More money for transfers! Bayern stops building project

Bayern have halted renovation work at Säbener Straße in order to free up funds for summer transfers. Instead of investing in the training ground, they want to strengthen the squad. One position in particular is to be filled.

Everything was actually ready for the renovation of the training ground at Säbener Straße. The surveying work had already begun - construction was due to start by the end of the year at the latest. However, according to "Sport Bild", the 100 million euro project is now on hold.

The supervisory board has decided that the training ground can wait. Instead, investments should be made in the squad in the summer. Sports director Max Eberl and sports director Christoph Freund are currently working together to draw up lists and evaluate where the squad needs to be restructured.

Who will stabilize the midfield?
The most central issue is, of course, finding a new coach. Xabi Alonso from Bayer Leverkusen has been identified as the top target. Here, too, a substantial transfer fee would be due. However, the coaching issue should be resolved quickly, as no transfers are to be made without a new coach.

However, Eberl and Freund have already drawn up a ranking for each position, with three to five names to be discussed with the new coach. The most important transfer target in the summer: a new six-man. The club should be prepared to dig deep into its pockets for this. This means that the discussions about a suitable "holding six" will continue even without Thomas Tuchel.
