Retirement in tears
Now it’s final: Kelce ends his NFL career
What had been in the pipeline for several months is now official: Jason Kelce has ended his active career in the NFL (National Football League). The 34-year-old tearfully announced his retirement from the strongest football league in the world.
"Today I have to admit: I was officially overrated," said the center with a wink, despite all his emotions, revealing what football fans love him so much for: his sense of humor.
Kelce was picked 191st overall by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2011 draft and has since been named to the Pro Bowl seven times. The Super Bowl title against the New England Patriots in 2017 marked the greatest success of his career.
Tears for brother Travis:
In 2023, the US-American was once again in the NFL final, this time losing out to his younger brother Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs. Last season, Kelce and the Eagles were eliminated in the wild card round against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
