Salzburg private clinic gets new owners
The small private hospital in the Riedenburg district is moving from a subsidiary of Vamed to the Graz-based Kastanienhof Group.
There has been a change of ownership at the small "Privatklinik Salzburg" in Sinnhubstrasse in the Riedenburg district. The previous owner VMS, a subsidiary of Vienna-based Vamed AG, has sold the clinic to the Styrian Kastanienhof Group after 15 years.
The clinic with around 30 employees previously specialized in orthopaedics and ophthalmology. In addition to Salzburg's largest sleep laboratory, there was also a surgery department. The Kastanienhof Group, which also operates a private clinic in Graz, intends to expand the medical services offered by the Salzburg private clinic in future. More detailed information will only be available after a needs analysis.
An expanded range of services will probably also be accompanied by an increase in patients. The private clinic currently treats just under 2000 patients per year. Ongoing operations will continue regardless of the change of ownership. "The team will remain unchanged, all contracts will remain in place," says Managing Director Tobias Kirchlechner.
