Gall loses a few seconds on the second stage

Felix Gall crossed the finish line on the second stage of the traditional Paris-Nice race at the same time as stage winner Arvid de Kleijn and thus lost no time on the leader.

The Tyrolean professional cyclist from Team Decathlon AG2R finished directly with the best on Monday after 177.6 kilometers from Thoiry to Montargis. The Dutchman Arvid de Kleijn from the second-class Tudor team won the sprint ahead of the New Zealander Laurence Pithie, who took over the leader's yellow jersey in the overall standings.

Marco Haller (45th / Bora-hansgrohe) and Felix Grossschartner (55th / UAE Emirates) finished with the peloton, as did the stars Primoz Roglic (61st) and Remco Evenepoel (80th).
