Nordic combined athletes Johannes Lamparter and Stefan Rettenegger finished second (+7.1) in the team sprint in Lahti on Saturday!

Jens Luraas Oftebro/Jörgen Graabak won the World Cup and thus 200 points in the Nations Cup for the leading Norwegians. Austria II with Lukas Greiderer/Mario Seidl, who were in second place after the jumping, finished fifth behind Germany II and Norway II (+54.1 min.).

After their jumps, the Austrians went into the cross-country race over 2 x 7.5 km 17 (Greiderer/Seidl) and 27 seconds (Lamparter/Rettenegger) behind the leading Germans Julian Schmid/Terence Weber.

"We can be very satisfied with second place!"
The leading pack then quickly formed a quintet, and on the seventh of ten laps Öftebro and Rettenegger managed to put the decisive gap between themselves and the rest. On the final lap of the interval run, Lamparter had nothing left to counter an attack by Graabak.

"I didn't feel so lively at the end, but second place is really cool. It was a very ambitious race for the two of us," said Lamparter on ORF. "Of course we would have liked to be ahead of the Norwegians, especially when it comes to the Nations Cup," said Rettenegger. "But we can still be very satisfied with second place."
