Man helped: Rescuer from the blood donation center
A blood donation center is not an ambulance, yet a pensioner was treated after a fall. The courageous employees are our Viennese of the week!
On his way to a family dinner, Werner Juranitsch fell heavily while crossing Wiedner Hauptstraße. "I couldn't find my way to the restaurant, I had the presents and my cell phone in my hand," explains the 80-year-old. So he overlooked the streetcar tracks, injured his hands, burst his lip and his head also hurt.
"A passer-by helped me straight away and took me to the Red Cross blood donation center across the street." There he received exemplary care - although this is not the job of the staff. "They helped me so much, so I would like to thank them publicly," says the pensioner. The doctor on duty even enquired about Juranitsch's well-being the next day. So much commitment deserves our Wiener of the Week title.
