Rothosen under pressure
Dornbirn want to get back on track against Lafnitz
After nine defeats in a row, Dornbirn are longing for a sense of achievement. Today (14:30) at home against Lafnitz, the Vorarlberg club could finally get back on track.
The table currently looks extremely unfriendly for FC Dornbirn. They are ten points off a non-relegation place. That is steep. That's why the Red Shirts are currently avoiding looking at the statistics as much as possible, preferring to concentrate on their immediate tasks.
"We can't worry about that at the moment, it doesn't do us any good," explains winger Sebastian Santin, "we can look at the table again once we've started winning games."
Dornbirn have lost nine rounds in a row recently. They were rarely completely defeated. But they were still too far away to score. "Because we've conceded goals in almost every game that we shouldn't have," regrets Santin, "and we always have good chances up front, but make far too little of them. It would be helpful if we could take the lead again."
Pouring everything into it
And that is exactly what the Messestadt team should finally be able to do again in their home game against Lafnitz. "Everyone knows what's at stake, the atmosphere is right - everyone will give it their all," Santin makes clear, "we have to score as many points as possible. Everything else is out of our hands."
