Man’s penis severed – privates missing

The German police are currently facing a lot of mysteries. After a 66-year-old man was found in a life-threatening condition on Tuesday night - his penis had been severed - there is still no trace of the body part or the instrument of the crime.

Neighbors in Herne, North Rhine-Westphalia, were very worried about the resident because of the persistent barking of a dog in the house and called the police. The arriving emergency services then heard moaning noises coming from the house and gained access with the help of the fire department. Inside, the 66-year-old was found to be in a life-threatening condition. He was immediately taken to hospital.

Due to the unclear initial situation and the massive injuries, the police set up a homicide squad. However, neither the missing body part nor a murder weapon have yet been recovered, a police spokesperson said on Thursday. Due to his state of health, the victim himself has not yet been able to provide any information to help investigators understand what may have happened. Fortunately, the man is now feeling better again. However, he has not yet been interviewed. The police and public prosecutor's office are now hoping for information from witnesses.
