Second arrest
Styrian sold narcotics again after being remanded in custody
A 20-year-old Styrian man, who was already remanded in custody in summer 2023 on suspicion of selling narcotics, was arrested again on Wednesday. He is said to have continued dealing on a large scale.
Back in July 2023, the then 19-year-old and a 17-year-old Romanian were alleged to have sold marijuana and other substances, mainly to young people, for a profit. The two young men were subsequently arrested but released from custody early. However, unlike his former accomplice, the 20-year-old from Hartberg was apparently not intimidated by his time in custody and continued to deal.
Due to several tips, he remained in the investigators' sights even after his release and was arrested again on Wednesday. However, the investigation into the case is still ongoing. "We are currently investigating around 100 drug users, some as far away as the province of Burgenland," said one of the officers.
Accused denied all accusations
The repeat offender was uncooperative when arrested at Hartberg police station and denied all allegations. The public prosecutor's office in Graz ordered him to be taken to Graz-Jakomini prison.
