No chance for Sebastian Ofner against world number 9

As expected, Sebastian Ofner was eliminated in the round of 16 of the ATP500 tournament in Acapulco on Wednesday (local time). Austria's currently best tennis player was clearly beaten 1:6 and 3:6 by world number 3 Alex de Minaur.

It was the first meeting with the Australian. Ofner now heads to the USA, where he will play the Masters 1000 events in Indian Wells and Miami for the first time.

Sobering result
Ofner now has one win and four defeats after four of six tournaments on his overseas tour. He had previously lost his first match at the clay court tournaments in Cordoba, Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro.
