Scala performance: audience member hit by cell phone

An incident occurred during the performance of Mozart's "The Abduction from the Seraglio" at La Scala in Milan on Sunday evening: An audience member was hit by a cell phone. 

During the second act, a smartphone fell from a box from a height of several meters onto the front row. The cell phone hit an audience member on the cheek - but without serious consequences.

The performance of the historical production by Giorgio Strehler, conducted by Thomas Guggeis, was briefly interrupted. Once the spectator was unharmed, however, the performance could continue.

Although the visitor escaped unharmed, he was extremely angry and told Italian media that he would keep the cell phone until he found the owner, who he would then report to the police.
