Mother and her young children killed by partner

Three bodies have been found in a house in Horovice, southwest of Prague. They were a mother and her two young children, a Czech police spokeswoman announced on Sunday. They had died a violent death. 

Autopsies of the bodies have been ordered to clarify the exact circumstances. The authorities were searching intensively for a suspect, the woman's partner, who was armed with a firearm.

Suspected perpetrator found dead
The man was later found dead in a hotel in the administrative region of South Moravia in the south-east of the country. The town of Horovice has around 7500 inhabitants and is located just under 50 kilometers from Prague.

Austria is also currently in the grip of horror due to excessive violence against women. On Friday, a 13-year-old girl and her mother (51) were found dead in the Landstraße district; the husband and father (53), who has disappeared for the time being, is suspected of the crime. In the evening, three women died in a knife attack in a brothel in Brigittenau, a suspect was arrested.
