Body found in Ottakring: victim was stabbed to death

The man who was found dead in an apartment in Vienna's Ottakring district on Wednesday was stabbed to death. This was the result of the autopsy. The victim had been badly beaten by his tormentor.

The identity of the man has not yet been established. Due to the victim's injuries - the man had several fingers chopped off, among other things - the investigators are assuming organized crime.

The autopsy revealed that the man was ultimately killed by stab wounds to the upper body.

A marijuana growing facility was also discovered in the apartment. The investigation is still in full swing.
