Crazy wrong turn: driver turns around on the “Süd” highway

Life-threatening maneuver by a Slovenian car driver (65) and trailer on the Südautobahn near Villach!

He actually wanted to drive his car and trailer along the Tauern highway towards home - but at the Villach junction at around 1.25 a.m. on Friday, the Slovenian driver mistakenly drove the wrong way. And suddenly found himself on the southbound carriageway towards Italy.

But instead of correcting his mistake at the next exit, the 65-year-old simply turned around in the middle of the highway.

And then steered his car back towards Klagenfurt as a wrong-way driver. However, the life-threatening journey (fortunately without a collision) "only" covered around 200 meters: The oncoming driver of a special transport escort vehicle stopped the professional driver with blue lights, and the car with trailer in tow was "turned" back in the right direction under safety precautions.
