Doctor allegedly stole wife from Canada’s prime minister

Last summer, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced his separation from his wife Sophie after 18 years of marriage. Now the alleged reason for the break-up has become public - the Canadian is said to already have a new man. A juicy fact: the liaison is said to have existed even before the official announcement of the separation.

The separation of Canada's 52-year-old head of government from Sophie Grégoire (48), with whom he has two children, came as a surprise to many. However, at least one couple, whose marriage was also on the rocks, was probably well informed in advance: Because the prime minister's wife is said to have left Trudeau for a pediatric surgeon from Ottawa. The divorce petition from the alleged new partner, Marcos Bettolli, was received by the authorities in April last year.

In this posting, the new man is shown at Sophie's side: 

In it, the doctor's now ex-wife claimed that her still-husband had "re-entered a partnership with a high-profile individual who is attracting a lot of media attention and brings significant security concerns". A name was not mentioned in the letter - but it has now emerged that the person is said to be Sophie Grégoire Trudeau. 

Her ex's new relationship had raised safety concerns for Ana Remonda, "to which the children are exposed while in the father's care", as reported by the National Post. She therefore called for measures to be taken to ensure the privacy and safety of her two children.

Rumor mill boiling - Trudeau leaving for doctor?
The new revelation fuels speculation about the real reason for the Trudeaus' separation - the divorce was filed months before the official announcement of the end of the relationship. So far, no one has wanted to comment on the rumors.

Justin Trudeau and Sophie have known each other since childhood. They married in 2005 and the couple have three children. A few years ago, there were already rumors of cheating - but these concerned the politician. He denied them and explained that there were also difficult ups and downs in the relationship.
