German arrested
Stalker wouldn’t let up: “I’ll kill your dog!”
At the beginning of February, a 46-year-old German man was arrested by the police for allegedly stalking a 34-year-old Ukrainian woman who lives in Klagenfurt for several months. Now the situation escalated ...
Because he terrorized her via various messenger services, repeatedly visited her in Carinthia and even arranged appointments for the 34-year-old that she knew nothing about, the Ukrainian woman finally turned to the police.
After the man from Hamburg had been stalking the woman for over seven months, the officers issued a no-entry and no-proximity order as well as a temporary weapons ban.
But this apparently could not stop the German: Despite the approach ban, he visited the frightened Ukrainian woman several times over the past few days. "The man had to be turned away by the police several times," the police say.
German threatened to kill dog
The situation finally escalated on Tuesday: "He approached the woman again and threatened to kill her dog if she didn't allow him into her apartment!" Because the woman wanted to call the police for help again, the German went berserk. He snatched the phone from her and strangled her before fleeing.
"During a manhunt, he was found at a building site near the woman's apartment and arrested," a police officer recounts the moment when the handcuffs clicked for the alleged stalker. The man was taken to Klagenfurt prison.
