Masked duo rob jewelry store in Vienna

The Vienna police are currently investigating two suspects who allegedly brutally robbed a jewelry store in the city center at the end of January. There has been no trace of the two since then.

The two masked suspects broke open the front door of the jewelry store at around 10:35 am. At the same time, an employee was also in the store and tried to stop the two strangers. However, they were unsuccessful, as a wild confrontation ensued.

Escape taken
The woman was injured in the process. After the two men had stolen several valuables from the display cases, they fled. According to current investigations, the two are said to have first fled on foot along Plankengasse towards Seilergasse, via Kärntnerstraße into Weihburggasse and finally into Ballgasse, where the two got on bicycles parked there and rode off in the direction of Stadtpark.

Perpetrator1: male, approx. 1.85 m tall, slim build, dark outerwear, black trousers, gray tube scarf as a mask, black hood with white emblem, black gloves, black shoes with white soles

Perpetrator 2: male, approx. 1.78 m tall, medium build, dark outerwear, black trousers, gray/black tube scarf as a mask, black hood, black shoes

Threatened passers-by
According to the police, the two men also threatened passers-by with sharp objects. The investigation is in full swing.
