Woman attacks forestry worker, steals chainsaw

An absurd encounter took place on Saturday afternoon in Graz-Mariatrost. A man was doing forestry work when a woman unknown to him attacked him. She snatched the chainsaw from the baffled forestry worker and fled on a bicycle.

The 53-year-old man from Graz was working with a chainsaw in a wooded area at around 1 pm when a woman approached him.

According to the worker, the unknown woman suddenly hit him in the chest and shouted loudly. Finally, she snatched the chainsaw from the worker, who was taken by surprise, and fled on a bicycle. The man chased after the woman but was unable to keep up with her. 

Chainsaw dumped in stream
To conclude this curious incident, the woman dumped the chainsaw in a nearby stream. She then fled towards the city on her bicycle.

Investigation started
The 53-year-old informed the police, but the manhunt was unsuccessful. The woman was about 1.60 meters tall, slim and dressed in grey. She had long brunette hair. The man was unable to give any information about her approximate age. The Graz-Andritz police station has taken up the investigation.
